Description:
Flexibond 8230A&B is a two-component polyurethane potting adhesive for ultrafiltration membranes. It is a reaction of Flexibond A polyol and Flexibond B modified isocyanate at room temperature to produce polyurethane elastomer products. This material is specially designed for water filter plug potting applications, with good waterproof and processing performance.

Characteristics:
1. No damage to the film filament
2. Less heat released, no core burning during the potting process
3. Low viscosity after mixing, easy to operate, good leveling and filling into the film filament
4. Less crawling filaments, fully ensuring the maximum effective flux of the membrane
5. Not obvious bubbles after solidification.
6. Strong bonding performance with a variety of plastics under different environment;
7. Good toughness, high hardness, low shrinkage, strong impact resistance;
8. Good water resistance, no precipitation after soaking.
Uses:
- Substrate cleaning:Clean the substrate surface, make sure free from water, dusts, grease ect. For special bonding surfaces or materials, please consult Comens related technicians.
- Mixing glue: Shake well the Flexibond 8230A and mix two components according to the recommended ratio evenly. It is better to use a vacuum glue injection machine to mix adhesive. The glue injection should be completed within the pot life.
- Applying sealant: It is recommended to use special glue injection equipment for glue injection operation. According to the size of the area to be injected, single hole potting or partition group hole potting can be used. An area to be injected can be from shallow to deep, from bottom to top, from one section to another. The gluing pressure can be adjusted as needed. Under the condition of ensuring smooth gluing and within the applicable period, a relatively low pressure and a longer time can be used to obtain a better result. The working environment temperature has a great influence on the viscosity and curing speed of the adhesive. If the temperature is too low, the viscosity will be higher and bubbles will be easily generated. If the temperature is too high, the curing will be faster in which it also generate bubbles easily. The constant environment temperature is best. Recommended application temperature at 23ºC
- Maintenance: Do not touch before tack free and do not move before cured. Avoid contact with hydroxyl, amino chemicals before curing, which will affect the curing of the polyurethane adhesive.
- Storage: After opening two-component polyurethane adhesive, please use them as soon as possible. Sealed the package of the sealant if cannot finish once. If Flexibond A is left standing for a long time, a small amount of sediment will be produced. Shake well before use, and the performance will not be affected.
Storage and Shelf Life:
Store in a cool and dry place at 8-25ºC.
Shelf life: 6 months for component A; 6 months for component B
